No contest for PAS’ top posts in party’s election

PETALING JAYA: PAS president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang, his deputy and two of the party’s three vice-presidents will be retained at the party election next week.

It is understood that there will be no contest for the top positions in the party, although vice-president Datuk Iskandar Abdul Samad will bow out to make way for Terengganu Mentri Besar Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar.The remaining two vice-presidential incumbents Idris Ahmad and Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah will be retained along with deputy president Datuk Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man.
