BEAUFORT: Some 98 flood victims from 36 families have been housed in a makeshift relief centre at the Membakut multi-purpose hall here on Saturday (June 15).
A representative from Sabah's Civil Defence Department (APM) said as of 10.40am, 11 villages and five roads had been hit by floods.
The APM sprung into action by constantly monitoring areas affected by floods and helping victims at the relief centres.
Also involved in the relief operation were officers and personnel from the Fire and Rescue Department, police, Welfare Department, Rela, the Beaufort district office and health clinic.
