RM500,000 worth of smuggled cigarettes seized at Sabah road checkpoint

KOTA KINABALU: Almost RM500,000 worth of smuggled cigarettes were seized during an inspection at a road checkpoint along the Tawau-Kalabakan road during the early hours of Wednesday (June 12).

Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) commander Datuk Hazani Ghazali said the smuggled goods were seized from two local men, age 20 and 42, during a patrol at the Road Check Points between 3am and 4am.
