KOTA KINABALU: The body of a three-year-old boy, who was feared drowned in a river at Kg Tebobon here, has been found.
The remains of Mohd Putra Daniel Samsul were discovered by family members along the river about three kilometres from the victim’s house at 12.19pm Monday (June 10), according to a Fire and Rescue Department spokesman.
The body has been handed over to the police for further action.
A search and rescue (SAR) operation was mounted after a report was lodged on Saturday (June 8) night that the boy had gone missing and feared drowned in a river near his house.
The SAR exercise had included the Department’s Water Rescue Unit, Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) personnel and the K9 unit.
