KOTA KINABALU: A search and rescue (SAR) operation has been mounted for a three-year-old boy who is feared to have drowned in a river near a house at Kg Tebobon here.
A representative from the Sabah Fire and Rescue Task Force Centre said a report was received on the incident at 10.12pm on Saturday (June 8).
The rep said a team from the Jalan Lintas Fire and Rescue station was immediately despatched to the scene to scour areas pointed out by the family of missing Mohd Putra Daniel Samsul.
The second day of the SAR mission kicked off at around 6.20am on Sunday (June 9).
The team comprised four members of the Water Rescue Unit (PPDA), three Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) personnel and three officers from the Fire and Rescue Department's K9 unit.
