JOHOR BARU (Bernama): A 15-year-old boy was forced to withstand pain for nearly 30 minutes after his right palm was pierced by a spike from the metal fence at his house in Bandar Baru Uda here while he was putting up colourful lights on Sunday (June 2) night.
Larkin Fire and Rescue Station operations officer Mohd Hairinizam Mostapa said a team of 11 personnel and an Emergency Medical Rescue Services (EMRS) vehicle were rushed to the scene as soon as they received a distress call at 10pm.
"Upon arriving in the area, the firefighters found the victim in agony due to the injury,” he said in a statement here Monday (June 3).
He added the team used special equipment to free the victim’s hand, and the victim was sent to Sultanah Aminah Hospital by the EMRS vehicle for further treatment. - Bernama
