MP lodges report over Najib's 2015 dismissal of former AG, DPM, revamp of gov't agencies

GEORGE TOWN: A police report has been lodged against former Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak over the dismissal of Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail and then-deputy prime minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin four years ago.

Jelutong MP R.S.N. Rayer lodged the report and also alleged that apart from the dismissals, Najib also revamped government agencies such as the Royal Malaysian Police,  the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Bank Negara and the National Audit Department.

"After reading an article by Iskandar Puteri MP Lim Kit Siang, who urged the police to conduct an investigation on Najib's act of dismissing the two and revamping the government agencies in July 2015, I decided to lodge the report for the police to initiate investigations," he told reporters outside the district police headquarters in Jalan Patani here Saturday (June 1).

George Town OCPD Asst Comm Che Zaimani Che Awang confirmed receiving the report.
