PETALING JAYA: A sinkhole on the North-South Expressway near Ipoh has been patched up and the highway is operating as usual, says PLUS Malaysia Bhd.
In a statement on Wednesday (May 29), PLUS said that repairs at KM272.7 (Northbound) were completed in less than 24 hours, and all lanes were re-opened to vehicles at 5pm on Tuesday (May 29).
"PLUS takes this opportunity to thank all highway customers for their patience and cooperation.
"The latest traffic updates on the PLUS highway are available via PLUSTrafik Twitter, the PLUS Mobile App and the toll-free PLUSLine 1-8008 8000."
It was reported that a stretch on the North-South Expressway heading north near Gunung Lang was temporarily closed to traffic to fix a sinkhole at KM272.
It said the 2.1m wide and 2.1m deep sinkhole was discovered during a patrol on Monday (May 27) at 3.30pm.
