PETALING JAYA: In the spirit of Ramadan, orphans from four charitable homes in Selangor were treated to a breaking of fast ceremony by Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB).

PNB president and group chief executive Datuk Abdul Rahman Ahmad said he hoped that the event would add joy to the orphans’ experience of Ramadan.

“We hope that this will help ease their financial burden as well as ensure their welfare in addition to providing necessities for the four homes,” said Abdul Rahman in his speech at Menara PNB.

He also encouraged the orphans to persevere in facing life challenges, especially when it came to their studies.

Abdul Rahman also presented the children with duit raya of RM100 each and personal necessities comprising a backpack and towel on PNB’s behalf.

Each home also received a RM10,000 donation.
