Making progress: Construction workers carrying out repair works at Seri Teratai in Jalan Macalister.

GEORGE TOWN: Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow will move into his official residence once the minor facelift on the Class II heritage building is completed in mid-July.

Built in 1926, Seri Teratai in Macalister Road has been left vacant for about 10 years, with former chief minister Lim Guan Eng being the last occupant before he moved to his residence in Pinhorn Road in 2009 after finding the building infested with termites.
