PETALING JAYA: Both long-term and short-term measures have been taken to address the shortage of English teachers, says the Education Ministry.
The short-term steps include offering English language teachers who took early retirement to come back on board, accelerating the appointment of new teachers to fill vacancies and appointing interim or contract-based English language teachers.
