Water disruption in 26 areas in Rawang

PETALING JAYA: Residents living in 26 areas in Rawang can anticipate a water cut, starting 9pm on Thursday (May 23), following a burst pipe near Sungai Garing there.

The affected areas are Anggun, Bandar Baru Kundang, Bandar Tasik Puteri, Bayu Permai, Desa Emas, Emerald, Kampung Sungai Bakau, Kampung Sungai Dua, Kota Puteri, Kuang, Kundang, M-Residensi, Puteri Heights, Rawang Indah, Rawang Integrated, Rawang Teknologi, Saujana Rawang, Tasik Biru Kundang, Taman Kuang Raya, Taman Pelangi, Taman Sari, Taman Sri Rawang, Taman Velox, and the entire areas of Bandar Country Home, Batu Arang, and Garing.

Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Syabas) expects to complete repair works on the pipe by 9am on Friday (May 24), before water supply is gradually restored to several areas.

"We are taking every step to hasten repair works and minimise the problem," it said in a statement.

Syabas also advised residents to keep sufficient supply of water at home.

It will also be sending water trucks to the affected areas.
