SEREMBAN: A Form Five student was killed and four others sustained serious injuries, when a stage bus collided with a car along the Kuala Klawang-Seremban stretch near Bukit Putus here on Thursday (May 23).

It is learnt that the male victim, a student at the Kuala Klawang Vocational College, died on the spot after he was pinned to his seat when the bus landed on its side due to the impact of the crash.

A Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said there were 27 passengers, including the driver, aboard the bus when the accident happened at around 4pm.

It is learnt that among the passengers of the bus were students from the vocational college, as well as the Kuala Klawang Mara Junior Science College.

"Preliminary probes show that the driver of the bus lost control of the vehicle and ploughed into trees along the road shoulder.

"The impact of the crash caused the bus to land on its side," he said.

He said the team arrived at the scene at around 4.15pm after receiving a call.

Twenty-two other passengers of the bus, including the driver, sustained injuries.

The cause of the accident is still being probed by the police.
