PETALING JAYA: The famous feline Grumpy Cat has died.
The Internet sensation, who was seven years old, passed away on Tuesday (May 14) "at home in the arms of her mommy, Tabatha."
According to a statement in a tweet from the official Grumpy Cat Twitter page, she died following complications from a recent urinary tract infection.
“Grumpy encountered complications from a recent urinary tract infection that unfortunately became too tough for her to overcome.
“Grumpy Cat has helped millions of people smile all around the world - even when times were tough,” the statement read.

The famous feline, whose real name was Tardar Sauce, became an Internet sensation in 2012 after photographs of her sour expression emerged online.
Her image quickly spread as a meme.
She shot to fame, thanks to her unique unhappy look – caused by an underbite and feline dwarfism.
Grumpy Cat has travelled the world making television appearances and, in 2014, even starred in her own Christmas film.
“Her spirit will continue to live on everywhere,” added the statement.
Many fans have taken to Twitter and Instagram to share their condolences.
