PETALING JAYA: A student went missing after excusing himself from a tuition class in Subang Jaya.

Jeuel Jayapalan (pic), aged 17, was last seen at a tuition centre in Puchong Utama on Thursday (May 16) night.

According to a family member, he had told a teacher then that he wanted to purchase a drink outside the centre.

However, despite the class being over, the teenager did not return to class and to his home.

"He doesn't use a hand phone and he has been fine all this time," said a family member when contacted Friday (May 17), denying any changes in behavior as well.

Subang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Risikin Satiman confirmed a police report was lodged.

"According to his parents, this is the first time he has gone missing.

"Family members have contacted his friends and we have filed his details into the missing persons database," ACP Risikin said when contacted.

Those with any information on Jeuel's whereabouts can contact his father Jayapalan Muthayapadayachi at 012-211 5180.
