BUKIT MERTAJAM: A roast lamb trader at the Ramadan bazaar in Bandar Perda was fined by the Penang Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry (KPDNHEP) for failing to have a calibrated weighing scale.
Penang KPDNHEP director Mohd Ridzuan Ab Ghapar said the RM100 compound was issued on the spot under Section 14 (6) of the Weights and Measures Act 1972, marking the first violation since the inspection at all Ramadan bazaars started on May 6.
