PETALING JAYA: Actor Sofi Jikan (pic) of KL Gangster fame has been ordered by a Magistrate’s Court here to enter his defence over a drug charge.
Magistrate Mohamad Ikhwan Mohd Nasir made the ruling after he was satisfied that the prosecution had proved a prima facie case.
“After making a full evaluation, I find that the prosecution has proven a prima facie case.
“The court orders the accused to enter his defence,” he said yesterday.
DPP Hakim Amir Abdul Hamid prosecuted while the accused was represented by Datuk Haniff Hassan.
The court was also informed that Sofi Jikan, birth name Mohamad Shoffi Jikan, 48, will be testifying under oath from the dock.
Sofi is expected to enter his defence on June 28.
On Feb 13 last year, Sofi Jikan was accused of taking drugs at the narcotics office of Petaling Jaya district police station at 11.15pm a week before, on Feb 6.
