KUALA LUMPUR: The government plans to set up an agency for children to look into child protection issues, said Deputy Women, Family and Community Development Minister Hannah Yeoh.
At present, there is a child department under the Welfare Department but it was being burdened with many responsibilities, she said.“We are studying the possibility of forming an agency for children because we really need one to look into child protection and children’s rights issues.
