School clerk claims trial to three counts of forgery

SEREMBAN (Bernama): A school administrative assistant claimed trial in the magistrate's court here Friday (May 10) to three counts of forgery last year.

Mohd Fauzi Nor Osman, 41, allegedly falsified the signatures of the headmaster and senior assistant 1 at SJK Ladang Cairo, Mantin, on a school cheque for RM6,600 and cashing and banking in the money into his account.

He is accused of committing the offence on Feb 13, 2018, between 8am and 5pm.

On the second charge, he is accused of forging the signatures of the same persons involving a school cheque of RM780 and cashing and banking the money into his account; he allegedly committed the offence at the same place on Feb 27, 2018, between 8am and 5pm.

On the third charge, he allegedly forged the signatures of the same persons involving a cheque of RM780 and cashing and banking the money into his account; he is accused of committing the offence at the same place on March 5, 2018 between 8am and 5pm.

The charges under Section 468 of the Penal Code carries a jail term of up to seven years and a fine each, on conviction.

Magistrate Mahyun Yusof set RM3,000 as bail for each charge and fixed May 28 for re-mention.
