Juvenile among four charged with raping 15-year-old girl

SEREMBAN: Four friends, including a juvenile, were charged at the Sessions Court here Friday (May 10) for allegedly raping and performing carnal intercourse against the order of nature with a 15-year-old girl.

Another 16-year-old juvenile was charged in the same court for allegedly molesting the victim's friend, who is also 15.

Mohd Nordin Yaacob 22, Ameer Nashraf Arizan, 21, and Muhamad Ariff Jamaluddin, 18, were charged with raping the first victim between 11.45pm on April 30 and 4.15am the following day.

The trio pleaded not guilty to the charges they allegedly committed in a house in Kuala Pilah before judge Junaidah Mohd Isa.

Mohamad Nordin and the 17-year-old juvenile were also charged with performing carnal intercourse against the order of nature with the same victim between 11pm and 11.20pm at the same place.

The 16-year-old juvenile apparently molested the other 15-year-old victim at around 11.50pm at the same place on April 30.

The accused were charged under Section 376 of the Penal Code for rape, Section 377C of the same legislation for performing carnal intercourse against the order of nature and section 14 (a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017.

Deputy public prosecutor Norshazwani Ishak asked the court not to offer bail but if this was allowed, the amount set should be high.

However, counsel for all five accused P. Jayaprakash asked the court to impose a low bail.

Junaidah then ordered Mohd Nordin to pay RM14,000 in bail while Ameer Nashraf, Muhamad Ariff and the older juvenile to fork out RM7,000.

The 16-year-old accused was allowed bail of RM6,000.
