KUALA LUMPUR: Great news folks! The PayDirect feature in the Touch ‘n Go eWallet can now be used widely across highways in the Klang Valley.

If you’ve been anxiously waiting to use PayDirect at the toll booths, now you’ll have your chance.

With PayDirect, users can add their physical Touch ‘n Go cards to the eWallet on their smartphones, specifically for toll payments. Users can pay for toll fares directly from their eWallet balance. Many of you may already be using it.

“I am so excited to be able to use PayDirect finally, now that’s in force at more toll booths,” says Mary Raj, who uses the LDP highway almost daily.

“Once it’s available at more highways, soon I won’t have to manually top up my Touch ‘n Go card anymore, and just rely on my eWallet. What a weight off my shoulders that will be!”

Driver Thomas Kho says: “I’ve read about PayDirect and some of my friends are already using it but I haven’t made the move yet. I think it will definitely be more convenient and I’m excited about trying it out, now that the feature can be used on so many more highways.”

If you activate your app now – and it’s pretty simple to do – you can enjoy up to 20% toll rebates for up to 10 toll trips.

Just download the app onto your smartphone and activate PayDirect to use your eWallet balance to pay for tolls.

Set up “auto reload” in your eWallet without any reloading fee, and you will always have enough balance to pay at participating highways.

The minute your funds dip below a preset amount, it will be automatically reloaded (make sure you set auto-reload in your eWallet). So, no more worries about having enough funds.

Go ahead, tell your friends and family how easy it is and you can earn up to 50x toll rebates too. For each friend that signs up with your referral code you’ll get 5x toll rebates.

TNG Digital Sdn Bhd, the start-up behind the Touch ‘n Go eWallet has a larger mission – to treat mobility as a complete service.

It has been working side-by-side with the different highway concessionaires for the last six months to enable the PayDirect across more participating highways and make your journey on Malaysian roads as smooth as possible.

It is also expanding its list of merchants in order to better integrate services for its users.

Your eWallet also offers lots of rewards and all-year round promotions. You’re bound to have noticed merchants who are now accepting Touch ‘n Go eWallet as a payment option, as more and more are springing up everywhere – from Tealive, KFC, TGV, and Jaya Grocer to even your smaller neighbourhood stores.

You can even pay your bills via your eWallet. And you will be regularly updated via your app on all the new promos.
