Police arrest man over attack on Jalan Klang Lama entertainment outlet

KUALA LUMPUR: A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident where a group of men caused damage at an entertainment outlet in Jalan Klang Lama here.

"We are also tracking down other witnesses to assist the investigation. We are exploring all angles," said Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Ruslan Khalid.

It is learnt that a group of men armed with sticks went to the club at about 9.20pm on Friday (May 3) and damaged equipment and furniture.

However, no one was harmed during the attack.

The case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for damaging public property in the process of committing mischief and rioting under Section 148 of the same Code.
