Several schools and villages were inundated in the Limbang, Mukah, Daro and Bintulu districts on Monday morning, following heavy rain.

They are SK Kubung, SK Ulu Lubai, SK Nanga Merit, Kampung Pengaran, Rumah Intai longhouse, SK Kampung Daro, SK Gerawan and SK Bukit Mawang.

The floodwaters were about 0.7m deep in most of these places.

So far, there have been no evacuations, the committee added.
