PETALING JAYA: An additional 11 Automated Awareness Safety System (Awas) cameras will be added to the North-South Expressway – with the installation cost borne by PLUS Malaysia Bhd.
PLUS managing director Datuk Azman Ismail (pic) said this was to further improve road safety as their records have shown that 80% of traffic accidents were due to human factors such as speeding.
