KOTA KINABALU: Deputy Home Minister Datuk Mohd Azis Jamman is now in stable condition after undergoing surgery at about 11pm on Thursday night (April 25).
According to a statement issued by his office on Friday (April 26), Azis is receiving follow-up treatment after the operation.
Only immediate family members are allowed to visit the Sepanggar MP for now, as Azis has been advised by the doctor to rest, his office said.
The Parti Warisan Sabah youth chief extended his gratitude to everyone who has expressed concern for his health and safety.
His office said it will provide updates on his situation from time to time.
Azis was involved in a road accident while participating in a drug awareness motorcycle convoy near Tuaran, some 40km from here on Wednesday (April 24).
The incident took place at about 10am halfway through the journey from Kota Kinabalu to Ranau.
Over a hundred people participated in the drug-awareness convoy, including members of the Sabah big bikers club, city police and the National Anti-Drug Agency.
