Teacher loses RM23k in social media loan scam

KUANTAN (Bernama): Not only were her holiday plans ruined, a woman also suffered losses of RM23,288 after being cheated by a man claiming to be a representative of a loan company, which did not exist.

Pahang Commercial CID chief Supt Mohd Wazir Mohd Yusof said the 26-year-old teacher claimed she found out about the loan company through Facebook on Jan 28, 2019.
