KUALA TERENGGANU (Bernama): An infant boy wrapped in a purple towel was found in a hut at Jerangau Felda Junction near Dungun.

Dungun police chief Supt Baharudin Abdullah said the baby, about two weeks old, was found by members of the public at 7.45am Sunday (April 21).

They then informed the Jerangau police station chief.

''The police rushed to the scene and took the baby to the Jerangau Health Clinic and later to the Dungun Hospital,'' he said when contacted by reporters.

He said the baby had jaundice but was otherwise healthy.

"The baby will be referred to a child specialist at Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital here for treatment," he said. - Bernama
