A WOMAN in New Delhi survived despite being dragged after her saree got caught in the door of a train which began moving, Makkal Osai reported.
The woman, who fell onto the platform when alighting, was dragged along for a short distance before other passengers noticed what was happening and pressed the emergency stop button.
She suffered head injuries.
The woman, who was travelling on the Delhi mass rapid transit rail service with her daughter, had wanted to disembark at the station when the accident happened.
Railway authorities are investigating the case.

Apparently, his appointment on Friday was retracted a few days later.
The reports said that he was respected for his experience in education from primary to secondary levels, adding that there was no explanation about the withdrawal.
