OVER 100 Indian youths turned up to register for the territorial army selection process in Sungai Petani, Kedah, Malaysia Nanban reported.The registration was organised with the help of Kuala Muda Indian Munnetra Kazhagam and Malaysia Kalvi Munnetra Kazhagam’s Kedah branch at the Sri Subramaniya Swami Devasthanam.
One of the organisers and retired army personnel, R. Sella, said the hopefuls would be briefed on the registration and selection process.
“They will have to undergo a preliminary physical screening and a full medical check-up,” Sella said.
Munnetra Kazhagam coordinator C. Kathiravan said many youths had gone through the selection process and were now in military training.Similar events would be held in other cities to encourage more Indian youths to sign up, he added.
