PUTRAJAYA: Newly-appointed Johor Mentri Besar Dr Sahruddin Jamal has called on the Prime Minister, his first after assuming the post on April 14.
Photographs of Dr Sahruddin meeting Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad was shared on the Prime Minister’s Facebook page.
The meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s Office around 8.30am yesterday and lasted for half an hour.
Dr Sahruddin, 43, the Bukit Kepong assemblyman, took over the helm of the Johor administration following the resignation of Datuk Osman Sapian.
Osman held the post for just 11 months from May last year until April 8.
Prior to the appointment, Dr Sahruddin of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia was the state Health, Environment and Agriculture Committee chairman.
