A MAN in Melaka survived despite being accidentally shot by hunters while he was working on his family farm, Makkal Osai reported.

The 63-year-old man, who was not identified, was at the farm in Kampung On Lok in Melaka when a gunshot rang out.

Then he realised that he had been shot.

His wife and daughter, who were also there, screamed upon seeing him bleeding from his abdomen and leg.

He claimed that he saw two men fleeing on a motorcycle at the time.

The victim was rushed to a hospital where doctors managed to remove a bullet lodged in his leg.

Police are now looking for two men who had fired weapons while hunting for animals in a nearby plantation.
