Heated words, punches thrown in Pakatan's Rantau command centre

SEREMBAN: Punches were thrown at the Pakatan Harapan command centre following unofficial reports of its candidate Dr S. Streram's defeat in the Rantau by-election.

It is understood that a PKR member from Kuala Lumpur had blamed local members for the defeat and this caused a shouting match where expletives were exchanged.

In minutes, the situation deteriorated and punches were thrown.

A reporter who was recording the scuffle was told to stop before his mobile phone was confiscated.

It is learnt that police are currently at the scene.
