SEREMBAN: Barisan Nasional candidate for Rantau Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan has rubbished talk that Negri Sembilan was a poor state during his time as mentri besar.

The three-term Rantau assemblyman, who is defending his seat in a four-cornered fight, denied allegations by PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who claimed the state was not financially strong despite being rich in natural resources.Mohamad, who was the mentri besar from March 2004 to May 2018, said even though Negri Sembilan did not have natural resources, it was the most improved state in terms of per capita income.
