National sportswoman ordered to apologise to disabled senior citizen for alleged assault and battery

KUALA LUMPUR: The Sessions Court here has ordered national taekwondo sportswoman Nur Dhia Liyana Shaharuddin to make a public apology to a disabled senior citizen who won a lawsuit against her, over allegations of being assaulted at an LRT station two years ago.

Lawyer Datuk Dr S. Arunan, who represented Placid P. Rodriguez, 71, told the press that Sessions Court judge Lalilatul Zuraida Harron @ Harun ordered for Nur Dhia, 25, to have her written apology published in the newspaper in one month from the date of the order.
