Residents want to run de-registered temple

MORE than a hundred Hindu residents staged a demonstration in Rasah, Negri Sembilan, urging the management of a de-registered temple there be returned to locals, Malaysia Nanban reported.Kampung Pasir Om Sivanalayam, which came under a new committee a few years ago, had its registration cancelled by the Registrar of Societies two years ago due to management irregularities. The temple’s activities and initiatives were hampered following the cancellation.The protesters said a new management team had been formed under the founder and they should be allowed to take over the duties.
