KUALA LUMPUR: DAP's Kota Kinabalu MP Chan Foong Hin (pic) has slammed the attempt by opposition members from Barisan Nasional, Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku Rakyat (STAR), Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) and Gagasan Parti Sarawak (GPS) in their attempts to delay the government’s tabling of the bill to revert Article 1(2) of the Federal Constitution to its original version pre-1976 on Thursday (April 4).
“Not only did they attempt to raise frivolous technicalities such as the one-day notice period to table the bill, they also attempted to delay the bill by filing an oral motion to have a select committee study the bill after the first reading in parliament,” Chan said.
