SEREMBAN: The Election Commission (EC) has been asked to introduce guidelines for by-elections, says MCA Civil Society Movement bureau chief Ng Kian Nam.“The laws and regulations now are for the general election. A by-election is different from a general election. There are many grey areas involved.
“Such guidelines, if they can be made, will ensure that those in the ruling party do not misuse their power and government assets for by-elections,” he said here yesterday.
