Heng: Nga and Wong should resign from the PAC

KUALA LUMPUR: Nga Kor Ming and Wong Kah Woh should show dignity and uncompromising principles by resigning from the PAC like Nurul Izzah Anwar, says Datuk Heng Seai Kie (pic).

The Wanita MCA chairman said it was a huge letdown to see both Nga and Wong betray promises made in the Pakatan Harapan manifesto.

"They defend the actions of Datuk Seri Dr Ronald Kiandee. They should follow in Nurul Izzah's footsteps and resign from their respective posts to avoid compromising their principles," she said in a statement on Friday (March 29).

She added that as the Deputy Speaker and deputy PAC chairman respectively, Nga and Wong must lead the pack in demonstrating their resolve to accomplish political reform.

"You are both in the spotlight to show us all the true meaning (or lack thereof) in your brand of reform," she said.

Heng added that in contrast, Nurul Izzah immediately did the unthinkable and stepped down from her PAC post when she was unsatisfied with how the Pakatan leadership had gone against its very own election promises despite being part of the ruling coalition.

"Her courage and integrity deserves respect from both sides of the political spectrum," she said.
