PAS takes Saifuddin to task for not revealing targeted fuel subsidy mechanism


RAM Ratings said the decision to float the price of RON95 based on the Automatic Price Mechanism will lift headline inflation by 0.9 percentage points in 2019.

PETALING JAYA: PAS took Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail to task for not responding to a specific question on the detailed mechanism for the proposed implementation of a targeted fuel subsidy.

Kuala Nerus MP Datuk Dr Mohd Khairuddin Aman Razali said the targeted subsidy was supposed to be implemented by next month, but the Minister could not provide the detailed mechanism in response to his written question posted in Parliament.
