PETALING JAYA: As funerals for the victims of the mosque massacre in New Zealand are taking place, moderation advocates in Malaysia say national harmony and unity should be protected and preserved to prevent any hate crime due to religious or ethnic divide.

Yayasan Rapera chairman and senior lawyer Datuk Seri Jahaberdeen Mohamed Yunoos said the terror attack in Christchurch was a lesson for Malaysians on the importance of embracing peace.
