JOHOR BARU: The death of tahfiz student Mohamad Thaqif Amin Mohd Gaddafi is due to complications related to leptospirosis and not any criminal act such as abuse, ruled the Coroner's Court here.

The court said it had examined the CCTV footage at the school and found that the punishment given by the school assistant warden, an ex-convict, to all the students was minimal and could not have caused fatal injury or even death.
