IPOH: The decision to replace a Perak executive councillor from PKR has been made known to the party president, says state party chairman Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak.

Farhash Wafa Salvador, who is also PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's political secretary, said the decision was made based on the party's constitution and feedback from members.

"I would like to thank Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu (pic) for reminding all to use the proper channel for any matters on reshuffling the state exco members.

"As the Perak PKR chairman, the matter has been discussed with the party president," he said in a statement on Thursday (March 21).

"Maybe the MB has also forgotten that we too have met twice on the matter. He even proposed one person.

"Even my deputy and his political secretary were present," Farhash Wafa Salvador added.

He was commenting on Ahmad Faizal's remark that any move to replace an exco member must come from the top leadership.

This was in regards with Farhash Wafa Salvador's earlier statement to change one of its two representatives in the exco line-up.

Simpang Pulai assemblyman Tan Kar Hing is the Tourism, Arts and Culture Committee chairman, while Kuala Kurau’s Abdul Yunus Jamhari chairs the Public Utilities, Infrastructure, Agriculture and Plantation Committee.

Farhash Wafa Salvador said it was his responsibility as the chairman to be fair and prioritise opinions from the grassroots.

"PKR respects the structure of the state government, and we too urged him respect ours.

"The principle that I am fighting for is not just as a state-level leader, but also in the spirit of reformation that is being fought for our country," he said.

"That is the responsibility as mandated by the people during the 14th General Election," he added.
