IPOH: Any move to replace a state executive councillor must come from the top leadership, says Perak Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.
Ahmad Faizal also said that any changes to the Perak exco line-up must be from the Pakatan Harapan council.
"The name has to come from top leaders, not state leaders, but we will listen to their suggestions," he told reporters after attending a Syariah Maqasid Townhall session at the state secretariat building banquet hall on Thursday (March 21).
He was asked to comment on reports that Perak PKR was planning to replace one of the state exco member from the party.
State PKR chairman Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak was reported to have said that the exco member's performance has not been satisfactory.
PKR has two representatives in the state exco line-up - Simpang Pulai assemblyman Tan Kar Hing and Kuala Kurau’s Abdul Yunus Jamhari.
Tan is the Tourism, Arts and Culture Committee chairman, while Abdul Yunus chairs the Public Utilities, Infrastructure, Agriculture and Plantation Committee.
Ahmad Faizal said the administration of the state was going on smoothly, though the performances of some exco members could be improved.
He also did not discount the idea of reshuffling the portfolios among the exco members.
"All of our performances could be better. They are not perfect, I am not perfect.
"What we are doing can still be improved, but not to the point that we need to change them," he said.
"There is a possibility of reshuffling the portfolios to strengthen the administration of the state," he added.
