KUALA LUMPUR: An electronic system to share patient information in 145 hospitals nationwide is expected to be implemented by the next three years, says Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad. The electronic medical record system will facilitate the transfer and sharing of patient information.

“Currently, 20% of the hospitals in the country already have the system in place, including Selayang Hospital and Ampang Hospital, but it is still not fully operational,” he said in his keynote address titled “Malaysia’s Healthcare Revolution” at the Asean Healthcare Transformation Summit 2019 yesterday.
