Tourist injured when bus overturns near Kota Belud

KOTA KINABALU: A tourist from China suffered minor injuries after a bus with 15 people on board skidded off the road and crashed into a drain at Kampung Kesapang in Kota Belud.

The remaining 13 tourists from China and the bus driver escaped with minor injuries.

All were taken to the Kota Belud district hospital for a check-up following the 9.30am accident on Friday (March 15).

A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Services Department said the injured tourist was suffering from chest pain and breathing difficulties and was treated at the hospital.

He said the tour bus was on its way from Kota Kinabalu to the Kampung Rampayan Resort when the accident occurred.
