PETALING JAYA: Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong (pic) says the terror attacks on two mosques in New Zealand are “uncivilised and hateful acts of cruelty.”
“The incident of the mass shootings at the mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand during Friday prayers that killed a lot of people was an uncivilised and hateful act of cruelty,” he said.
The MCA President also hoped that the two injured Malaysians will recover soon and that other Malaysian citizens in New Zealand are safe.
“Hopefully, the two Malaysians who were reported injured are well and will recover soon.
“It is hoped that all the people there, especially Malaysian citizens, are safe and secure.
“We are sympathetic to what has occurred in New Zealand and once again strongly condemn the inhuman acts committed,” he said in a Facebook post Friday (March 15)
At press time, the death was 49 people with New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern describing the incident as a "terror attack".
