Sabah to legalise children from local-foreign unions

KOTA KINABALU: A longstanding problem of Sabah-born children categorised as foreigners even though one of their parents is a Malaysian will be resolved soon through a special exercise to legalise them.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal said the state-initiated programme was to assist these children with proper documents and put them on a better footing for a brighter future.
