Businesswoman scammed of RM9k for 'failing to settle arrears'

SIBU: This is the month for the filing tax returns, so beware of scammers using tax as a ruse to dupe the unsuspecting like the businesswoman here who was conned of RM9,200 for supposedly failing to settle her tax arrears.

Sibu deputy OCPD, Supt Martin Koo said the 32-year-old woman had on March 11 received a call from the "Cyberjaya Inland Revenue Department".
