Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal said the reconstruction of the railroad, which had ceased operations for decades, would close the development gap between the interior and the urban areas.

KOTA KINABALU: The long-standing problem of Sabah-born children categorised as foreigners even though one of their parents is Malaysian is set to be resolved soon through a special exercise to legalise them.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal said the state-initiated programme aims at assisting these children to be legalised with proper documents and thus put them on a better footing for a brighter future.
