PETALING JAYA: The North Korean Embassy in Jalan Batai, Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur, has been vandalised.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Ruslan Khalid said four unidentified men graffitied the outer walls of the embassy around 3am yesterday.

“From the CCTV footage, we can see they are tall and of unknown ethnicity, wearing hats and face masks,” he said.

He said there were several words and symbols written on the walls, including “Freedom for Korea”.

“We are investigating this incident from all angles, including it being the work of mischievous youths,” he said.

The graffiti was later covered with a fresh coat of paint by embassy staff.

The case is being investigated under Section 427 of the Penal Code for causing mischief.
